Ukulele Ensemble Workshop


The workshop will teach ensemble skills, using music from different countries and various genres.  Exercises include rhythm and timing drills, and the playing of 3 part harmonies.  Participants should bring a music stand, and warm socks or slippers because we are holding the workshop in a ballet studio.  Instructor is Anna Lyman, B.Mus., winner of the 2012 Vancouver Ukulele Festival Instrumental song competition.

Workshop date: February 16th, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Location: Maple Leaf Ballet School, St. Saviour's Centre, 310 Henry St, (corner of Catherine St and Henry St.), Victoria, B.C.

Workshop Cost: $35.00

Vancouver Ukulele Festival 2017


The Vancouver Ukulele Festival is back in March 2017, after taking a year off and it promises to be as spectacular as in the years past.

Location: Workshops - The Croatian Cultural Centre, 3250 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC.
              Gala Concert  - Rio Theatre, 1660 East Broadway, Vancouver, BC.

Workshop registration and tickets: - Workshops: (2 days) $225 - early bird: $187     Gala Concert: $25 at door or $18 advance

Workshop instructors: Sarah Maisel, Craig Chee, Gerald Ross, Aaron & Nicole Keim, Daphne Roubini, Andrew Smith, Timothy Tweedale, and Ralph Shaw headline the workshop staff.

Victoria Ukulele Week / Festival 2017

This event targets enthusiasts at all ages, and the 2017 edition aims to be just as exciting as the previous years. There's something for everyone! Numerous workshops are offered, and you can purchase a Festival pass for almost all of the events.

Kamloops Summer Ukulele Festival 2017

KamloopsFestivalLogoThe Ukulele Orchestra of Kamloops (UOK) is proud to present the second Kamloops Summer Ukulele Festival. The "UOK" prides itself in "sharing their music with others and [being] very active in the community."
With this in mind they have put together a wonderful lineup of talented performing artists and entertaining clinicians for a three day ukulele experience held this year at The Sorrento Centre in beautiful Sorrento, B.C. Canada.
What a great way to spend a summer's weekend in Beautiful British Columbia! Be sure to mark this on your calendars!

Event dates: June 16th, 17th, 18th, 2017.

Location: Sorrento Centre - (Retreat and Conference Dentre), 1159 Passchendaele Rd., Sorrento, B.C., Canada  V0E 2W0. (Just 75km east of Kamloops).

12th annual Vancouver Island Ukulele Workshop

V.I.U.W.logoThis one day workshop is offered once again to Vancouver Island ukulele enthusiasts and teachers. 2018 will be the 12th year for the V.I. Ukulele Workshop which features several mini-sessions on skill development and "hands on" learning. The workshop accommodates participants at all skill levels so that everyone will feel "at home" during the sessions. A special "teachers session" is also offered. The workshop is based on the outstanding "Doane Ukulele Method" and focuses on developing ukulele playing skills, repertoire sharing, pedagogy for teachers, and more.
