    The Coquitlam Ukulele Tiny Instrument Enthusiasts Circle

    CUTIE CircleThe "Cutie Circle" will be hosting a concert and a workshop by U3: (Cynthia Lin, Abe Lagrimas, Jr. and Ukulenny)

    "........ From jazz and bossa nova, to Hawaiian classics, to island reggae remixes, U3’s debut album In Waves (2020) features genre-bending arrangements that bridge the artists’ skills and versatility, and stretch the ‘ukulele into new territory."

    In addition the trio will be offering a workshop - either as a concert / workshop package, or available as separate events.
    Be sure to register early to avoid disappointment.


    Event date: Monday May 22nd, 2023 (Victoria Day)

    Location: Evergreen Cultural Centre - 1205 Pinetree Way,  Coquitlam, BC. Canada

    Workshop registration and tickets: Available through website (see link below). Various ticket and registration prices from $20 for concert, and to $40 for concert / workshop combo. Student and Senior discounts available.

    Nanaimo Ukulele Festival

    We are delighted to announce the return of the two-day Nanaimo Ukulele Festival on Friday June 9th & Saturday June 10th, 2023 to be held at Holy Trinity Church, 6234 Spartan Road, Nanaimo

    Friday evening starts off with a concert with Canadian artist Manitoba Hal (now based in Nova Scotia) and Transit Lounge, featuring Cynthia Kinnunen and Ben Coulson, from Guelph, Ontario.

    On Saturday, choose workshops from Manitoba Hal, Cynthia Kinnunen and your two local JHUI qualified ukulele teachers, Carol Johns and Liz DeBarros

    We wind up the day with the ever popular Sing & Strum with the Revolving Doors

    Event dates:  Friday / Saturday June 9th & 10th, 2023

    Location:  Holy Trinity Church,  6234 Spartan Road, Nanaimo BC.

    Concert tickets are $25       Workshop tickets are $30 for each workshop
    If you attend a workshop, the Sing and Strum is free to attend

    Sing and Strum only is $10
